Cozumel Beaches for October

Cozumel has a string of stunning beaches to choose from, some natural and some man-made. The west coast is the most popular, with a wide variety of seashore to pick from: white sandy slices of paradise or rocky limestone with deep clear waters, the latter being the perfect spots for snorkeling and scuba diving.

One excellent example is thePalMar Small Snorkel Beach Club, just south of San Miguel. Its mixture of white sand bordering the rocky seabed makes it the obvious choice for both dedicated beachgoers and adventurous divers; this place is also great for swimming and beach diving, and there is also a sweet water pool and a volleyball court to enjoy, along with a restaurant and hammocks under the palapa shades. You can also visitPlaya San Francisco, which isn't all that great for snorkeling due to its sandy seabed, and swimming is always supervised by lifeguards due to some shifty underwater currents, but it's great for beach diving, jet skis, parasailing and even kayaking; there's also a pool and a restaurant for your enjoyment, as well as some resort courses.

Bars and Restaurants

For good food, and we mean really good food, try Le Chef Cozumel, which serves dinner and lunch, and also has afterhours specials. It's best known for its wide selection of light snacks and salads, as well as its more consistent main courses, serving a variety of Mexican and international dishes. Another great spot is Frenchies, the legend of freshly cut fries and its rock-star Frenchie burger; the toppings are out of this world and this is clearly the haven for the most delicious fries on the island. And if you're looking for authentic and out of this world tacos and pozoles, then Los Otates is the place for you to try next; the Tacos al Pastor are the most popular on their menu, which is a combination of hearty and tasty Mexican dishes.

If you're more into enjoying a drink over a good burger, and if you like rock music, treat yourself to an evening at theHard Rock CaféCozumel's is probably the smallest you'll ever see, but its wonderful atmosphere immediately compensates, along with a splendid original ceiling mural with an underwater scene.
